Got a call from some automated American voice claiming to be HMRC, said I was gonna have legal trouble if I didn’t act. It told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to a person. Pretty sure it was a scam.

My mum's phone rang from a number I haven’t been connected to in over 15 years. When I picked up it was someone at first mentioning a washing machine warranty, but as soon as I said something they just cut the call. Bit weird really.

I received a call from someone claiming that my washing machine’s warranty had expired and they wanted me to renew it on the spot for an additional three years. When I mentioned that I'd been using the machine for a whopping 18 years, she simply cut the conversation short and hung up. What a shady ploy!

The person on the phone mentioned my address and name, even brought up my broken washing machine. I told them it wasn’t me, then they just ended the call.

I looked up the number and it wasn’t in any directory. After seeing what others have posted, I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Today I got a ring from some English bloke called Edward, asking about my washing machine warranty and the company he was calling from. I told him I've already got cover for it, just not with his firm. He kept asking why I'd do that, and I said it was my decision. Then he claimed he was speaking to my husband, so I handed the phone over. My husband had a go at him, saying he was sending a letter out because I called him a liar. Good luck with that, mate!!!!!!

They already had our full address and name, and claimed the call was regarding our washing machine. When I asked them what exactly was wrong with the washing machine, he just repeated my question back to me, “what about the washing machine?” and then just ended the call!

Got a call from some bloke with an English accent, saying my washing machine warranty was up and he was gonna sort out a new one. Told him I wasn’t interested, but he just kept on yapping way too quick and didn’t let me get a word in. Tried to cut in but he talked right over me again. Ended up telling him to be quiet and just ended the call.

They’ve rung up two times now, claiming it’s just a renewal of the insurance we already have for the washer. Sounds a bit suspicious to me.

Got a call from a bloke with a southern English accent about a washing machine warranty. He was trying to get me to renew a policy I already got. When I told him I was covered for another four years he said there was a glitch with the system and just hung up on me. Quite odd really.

They called asking for Mr White, and when I said they had the wrong number, they started getting really rude. Then, when I told them to stop calling, they had the cheek to tell me to calm down.

I picked up the phone and said hello a couple of times, but there was this awkward silence. Suddenly, a man with a southern English accent asked for someone I don't know. He completely butchered my name and then just cut off the call without a word. Really strange!

Had a call from someone with an Aussie or English accent about a washing machine cover. Thing is, I don’t even have a cover. They kept pushing for payment, saying it was for a one or three year plan. They also mentioned if I signed up today, there’d be a special deal. Bit fishy if you ask me.
