Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, but the bloke had a weird accent. Oddly, he seemed to know more about my phone plan than I did! He was pushing this amazing deal saying it would save me loads and I wouldn’t have to pay any fees for quitting my contract a year early. I asked him if he honestly thought I was daft. He just bluntly said, "Yes madam, you're daft not to grab this offer that saves you tons." I told him it was him who was daft, trying so hard to scam me. Not long after, he ended the call.

Total rip off! Nearly got caught out, they’re so convincing! Claimed to be from EE offering a loyalty discount. They even sent a fake “MyEE” text to make it seem real. When I refused to give my bank details without an official EE email, they called back pretending to be from the “credit team” with an email that looked exactly like EE’s. When I answered, a man with an accent that seemed Asian or Indian started to speak, but only after a delay of about five seconds. I had to say "hello" a few times before he replied. This made me suspicious straight away. He then claimed he was calling from EE, but I asked him, “How can I be sure you’re really from EE?” Without any response, he just hung up on me. That was the whole call. Definitely sounds like a scam to me. EE never contacts me by phone, so this was clearly dodgy. It’s important to show these scammers they can’t fool us.

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent saying he was from 02. I didn’t even want to talk so I just hung up straight away. At the same time, I started getting texts from 02??
