I received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady with an Indian accent regarding supposed "problems" with my computer. She insisted that I download some software to allow her to assist me in eliminating a virus. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Caller - female Nature of call - I didn’t even get to delve into the conversation much, as the moment they mentioned they were phoning from Microsoft, it screamed scam to me (had an identical experience a few years back). They claim there’s an issue with your computer, and today they informed me that my information was supposedly accessed through my IP by a so-called Microsoft associate. This questionable call came through at 7:40 in the morning, and after I remarked that it seemed fishy, they've now ominously warned me of a follow-up call at 6 am tomorrow!
