I received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady with an Indian accent regarding supposed "problems" with my computer. She insisted that I download some software to allow her to assist me in eliminating a virus. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call this morning at 7.40am from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, but I didn’t let it go on long as I recognised it straight away as a scam. A few years back I had a similar ring where they told me there was something wrong with my computer. They even had somehow got my info via IP address today, apparently from a so-called "friend of Microsoft". When I called them out on the scam, they threatened to call me again at 6am tomorrow. Quite unsettling really!
