Got a call earlier and as soon as I asked what the call was about, they seemed a bit caught off guard. They claimed to be from some housing association. Since I own my place through shared ownership, it didn't really add up. They started asking about repairs needed, but the moment I mentioned having a mortgage, they shut off the call real quick. I’ve just had another call regarding the installation of a Shell energy smart meter, this time from a seemingly fresh number. I’ve already informed them twice in under a week-once via a different phone number and another through a text-that I have no intention of having one installed and that they ought to cease their incessant communication. Moreover, it’s rather unethical of them to insist that I need to get rid of my perfectly functional traditional meter. There’s absolutely no requirement to swap out a perfectly serviceable meter! Their approach is nothing short of deceitful and tantamount to harassment, completely disregarding a customer's right to make their own choices!
