02039061222 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02039061222 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance scam number often linked to fraudulent energy consultations and bogus accident claims. Callers use multiple numbers, frequently changing them, and employ a distinctive female voice, sometimes slow and gravelly, purporting to be energy advisors. Despite requests to remove numbers from their database and registrations on the Telephone Preference Service, the calls persist. The scams include offers of free energy surveys, roof inspections, or enquiries about fibre loft insulation, often targeting those who shared their contact after online purchases. Many visitors advise not to answer unknown calls from this number, to block it immediately, and to report it to the relevant authorities. The recurring nature and aggressive tactics of these calls indicate well-organised scams with little regard for consumer privacy or regulations.

This number rang me earlier, so I looked it up and realised it was some kind of scam. I've blocked it now so they can't bother me again.

Joan’s back at it again! First reported this 21st July 2023. She’s called me 5 times in less than a year, now on her third new number... 0113 868 9119. Each time it’s a different number from various parts of the country. This 0113 number belongs to a woman who speaks slowly and has a very distinctive voice. She starts with, “My name’s Joan and I’m one of your energy consultants.” Nope, not falling for that. Told her she’s rung me 4 times already in the past year, and that I’m on the ex-directory list, so stop calling me. Joan keeps droning on, her husky voice sounds like she’s trying to sound posh but just sounds dodgy. I repeated myself firmly then she hung up. Have reported her to TPS again. Before this, she used to call from 0161 524 2881 and 0203 906 1222. Annoying as hell!

Got a call from a woman with a really gravelly, kinda posh-sounding voice who says she’s an “Expert Energy Advisor.” It’s the fourth time she’s rung this year. Even though she promised the first time to take us off her list, she keeps bothering us. When I tell her again to stop calling, she just hangs up on me. Today’s call was from a different number but definitely the same lady with that same odd way of speaking. The latest number is 01615242881.

Just the same old annoying spam nonsense again.

Received a call claiming that I was involved in a mishap. As if! I pretended to remember, just to play along for a moment. When they probed if I’d contacted a solicitor, I decided enough was enough and hung up. I might have mentioned having spilled a coffee or two, but honestly, who falls for this nonsense? I’d advise steering clear of this number-it’s clearly dodgy!

Rang me up saying I'd been in some sort of accident. I was like, yeah, right, do I even remember it? I just played along and said yes. Then she asked if I'd got a lawyer involved. I ended the call there, but was about to say yeah, maybe I just spilled some tea or something. Don't bother picking up if this number shows, it's clearly a con!

Another one of those dodgy calls! As soon as I picked up, they just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from what they said was a local energy company, but since it’s a London number and I live up in Manchester I was pretty dubious. They mentioned something about checking fibre loft insulation. I told them I don’t have any and had it inspected just a couple years ago, but they kept insisting it was free. When I said I wasn’t interested, the call just ended suddenly.

Got a call on my home phone at 15:23 today. Didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail. Ended up blocking the number now. It’s pointless anyway since I live in a tower block.

I'm rather pleased that I’ve never engaged with those calls! I’ve been browsing through various consumer forums, and I can’t stress enough: if the number isn’t familiar or hails from an area I have no ties to, I simply don’t pick up. Honestly, these callers are as unscrupulous as they come - truly the bottom barrel! It baffles me how, despite years of ignoring these nuisances and their ever-changing numbers, they continue to bombard me. I’m just left to block and report them time and again. But it does make you wonder, what exactly are the ICO and Action Fraud doing about all this? These scams have been running rampant for yonks! Coincidentally, I encountered two persistent email scammers just today - is it too much to ask that companies like Microsoft, with their vast resources, actually tackle this sort of pond scum? I find myself questioning the point of blocking and reporting when it seems like nothing ever truly changes, and the harassment carries on unabated!

I got a call from a number showing up as "Tax Optimiser Limited." It was a lady talking about checking my roof and doing energy surveys. The moment I asked which property she meant, she just ended the call.

I just ended the call right away when I picked up.

I received calls from this number twice today, but oddly enough, there was no one on the other end when I answered. On the second attempt, after what felt like an eternity of silence - about thirty seconds, I reckon - I was greeted by a rather obvious automated voice that simply said “goodbye.” It's peculiar as I've had similar experiences with this number in the past.

I only gave my phone number to Argos when I bought something, just so they could contact me about the delivery. I wasn’t too happy about sharing it, but I did anyway. Since then, I’ve been getting loads of annoying calls from cold callers and people trying to scam me. I’m pretty sure it’s because Argos passed on my number somehow. Normally, I only share my digits with mates, never with companies or strangers.

So, after I bought something and gave my phone number just so they could contact me about delivery, I started getting loads of random cold calls. I told one of these callers to never ring me again and said I'd block their number if they did. Definitely annoying how quickly these calls started after sharing my number.

So this number had a +44 at the start, which is a bit fishy since real UK calls don’t normally show that, at least not to me. I just didn’t pick up 'cos I didn’t know the number anyway.

This number has called me about six times on my mobile, and just moments ago, it rang my landline too - that’s the third time there. I told them to take my number off their list, but honestly, I doubt it'll make any difference. They're really pushy and quite annoying.

I’ve just had my third call from the same lady in seven months now. All her calls started after I made online electrical purchases around Christmas from places like Currys, John Lewis, Apple, and Vax. This time I actually recognised the voice. She’s an older woman, sounds British with a rough, maybe smoker’s voice, and speaks quite slowly compared to most callers. The first call was back in March 2023. When I asked who she wanted to speak to and what customer she was after, she kept talking over me. She asked for the “homeowner” and claimed she was from some energy company but never gave a name. Then she began going on about energy efficiency. I told her we’re ex-directory and asked for our details to be removed, then she hung up. The second call came a few weeks later. As soon as she started talking, I cut in and told her again we’re ex-directory and to take the number off their lists. She just hung up on me. Today was the third time she rang. She asked for the homeowner again, and I knew immediately it was her voice. When she said she was the energy provider I interrupted again, saying I’ve told her before to remove us since we’re ex-directory. She sounded surprised, apologised quickly, and hung up. Seriously, how many times do we have to sign up with the TPS to stop this nonsense?
