They said if I didn’t give them what they wanted, the company would be shut down or something like that. It felt pretty pushy and stressful.2 yearsI got a call from someone pretending to work for O2, saying my SIM card was about to get locked. They asked for my email so they could send me some info. The email they sent looked legit, like it was from O2, but had a dodgy link that seemed like a way to nick bank details and stuff. When I started asking questions, the caller got really rude and nearly shouted down the phone. They kept ringing me loads of times each day, but once I told them I knew it was a scam, they finally stopped bothering me.2 yearsI received a call from individuals masquerading as O2, claiming that my O2 SIM card was about to be deactivated. They attempted to fish for my email address during the conversation.2 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be O2, saying my SIM was about to get blocked. I didn’t wait around for more nonsense and just ended the call straight away. Felt really dodgy, not a genuine call for sure. Number’s blocked now!2 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with O2, they kept insisting I give them my email so they could send a replacement SIM as they said my current one was being blocked. I asked why they couldn't just get my email from my O2 account online, but the caller dodged the question. This felt like a total scam to me, probably some dodgy fraudster trying to trick me.2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying my SIM was locked. Total rubbish! I called back using 141 so my number was hidden, and they just jumped straight in about my SIM being blocked - didn’t even bother asking who I was first!
