Somebody called me claiming to be from O2 tech support, but I'm pretty sure it was a scam.

This sounded a bit dodgy to me. The bloke said he was from Sky and claimed he could lower my broadband bill out of the blue. When I asked which address he was talking about, he wouldn’t say unless I handed over my email first. I just told him he was a scammer and didn’t share any of my info, just to be safe.

Just got a call from 02039053823 and it was total scam! Someone said they were from O2 or Virgin Media, saying my line would be shut off by the weekend. I just ended the call straight away and then rang O2/VM myself to check. Definitely don't pick up if this number rings you.

They kept ringing me up, saying it was something really important.

Got two calls from the same number one right after the other. Ignored them both and have since blocked it.

Got two calls from this number and my phone marked it as potential spam, so I ignored it. They never left a voicemail either. I decided to look it up on this site and was relieved I didn't pick up. Seems like it's linked to a one-time password scam, judging by what others have said. It's worrying how easy it is for people to get caught out these days. We really need to be more aware and share info like this - big thanks to everyone who's warned us about this scam.

Had a call from a woman with an Indian accent who sounded like she was trying to scam me, wanting personal details. Felt like a total con artist to me.

kept ringing me over and over claiming they were from O2, quite annoying really.

Had a call from someone pretending to be O2, claiming they wanted to "upgrade my SIM from 4G to 5G". Thing is, I was already on 5G when they rang! They tried to get me to give them a one-time code, which I NEVER share. If you hand that code over, they'd be able to get into your account and potentially steal your bank details. Pretty much 100% of the time, O2 won’t ask you for that code. If you’re unsure, O2 staff can usually verify who you are with info scammers wouldn’t know, like your registered email or full name. Just be careful and don’t give your codes out.

They phoned me once more and I’m pretty sure the caller was from India, though I can’t be 100% sure. I cut the call short, but before hanging up, he mentioned something about sending a one-time code to me. Right after the call dropped, I got a message with a code, and then he tried ringing back again, but I ignored it. I have a feeling he was trying to trick me into giving away that code, but I didn’t let it get that far.

I got a call about SIM cards and O2 or something, but I was busy at work so I didn’t really listen. Figured it might be a scam, so I just ended the call. Then again, maybe it was legit!
