2 monthskept ringing me over and over claiming they were from O2, quite annoying really.2 monthsHad a call from someone pretending to be O2, claiming they wanted to "upgrade my SIM from 4G to 5G". Thing is, I was already on 5G when they rang! They tried to get me to give them a one-time code, which I NEVER share. If you hand that code over, they'd be able to get into your account and potentially steal your bank details. Pretty much 100% of the time, O2 won’t ask you for that code. If you’re unsure, O2 staff can usually verify who you are with info scammers wouldn’t know, like your registered email or full name. Just be careful and don’t give your codes out.2 monthsThey phoned me once more and I’m pretty sure the caller was from India, though I can’t be 100% sure. I cut the call short, but before hanging up, he mentioned something about sending a one-time code to me. Right after the call dropped, I got a message with a code, and then he tried ringing back again, but I ignored it. I have a feeling he was trying to trick me into giving away that code, but I didn’t let it get that far.India2 monthsI got a call about SIM cards and O2 or something, but I was busy at work so I didn’t really listen. Figured it might be a scam, so I just ended the call. Then again, maybe it was legit!Submit Your Own Report (020 3905 3823)
