Got a missed call with no voicemail which I ignored and blocked as usual. Earlier, I’d had another ring from a number quite like this one but ending in ..1858, no message again, so blocked straight away. Then there was a third call from a number ending ..1898, really close to the others. I answered that one and the person knew my exact name and address, trying to get me to renew some boiler cover. Seems like a scam from what I’ve read, so I didn’t waste time and blocked them too.

Nearly every day they ring me up! I’ve started ignoring the calls and just hang up straight away. Proper irritating!

Got a call about some boiler insurance, sounded fishy so I ignored it, probably a scam.

Two days ago I saw a comment about the boiler scam. They mentioned it costs £24 per month, or you can pay £28 per month for the extra cover.

Just got a call from a number claiming to offer a boiler service protection plan for £74. They said they were calling for my wife and had all our details right, including name, address and postcode. But we already have proper cover in place and had a brand new boiler installed last year. They asked about the make and model of the boiler but couldn’t give any info themselves, which seemed dodgy. I let them go on for a bit with all their spiel then told them to get lost since we’re already covered. Total boiler scam if you ask me.

Got two scam calls back to back, literally within a minute. Thank goodness I ignored both like I normally do after peeking at this site first. Big thanks to everyone sharing their warnings, I’m always adding my scam calls here too!

Honestly, this bloke with his strong Indian accent and the terrible road rules back home in India would probably do better trying his scam there. He might actually luck out and find someone who's been in an accident, plus they’d probably understand his accent well enough to buy that he’s some insurance guy. Here, it just sounds daft.

Got a call the other day from someone claiming to be Aviva, saying it was about an accident I supposedly had - which is total rubbish, I’ve never been in any crash. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from some bloke saying he was from my insurance, talking about a car crash from a year or two ago. Thing is, he never actually said which company he was with. Plus, his accent was really thick and the line was so crackly I could barely catch what he was saying.

The person on the other end barely spoke English and was trying to push some sort of insurance scam. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call claiming I was eligible for some payout from an accident I had nothing to do with. Told them straight away to stop calling and to take my details off whatever list they had me on or I’d be reporting them to the ICO. They just laughed and said they didn’t care who I was and then proceeded to tell me to basically go away in a very rude way. Honestly, not the most professional bunch, if you ask me 🤣🤣

I got a call from someone claiming I’d been in an accident. When I played along and pretended the call had actually gone to a restaurant, the guy - sounded Indian - then said we should meet up and he’d pay me more than what I earn from my restaurant job. This wasn’t your usual scam at all. Seriously, don’t pick up if you get a call like this!

Got a call about a car crash, but they never gave me any real info. They said some guy hit my car, but I know it was a woman, so that was a red flag straight away. They kept trying to get me to share my details, but I just said no. Definitely felt like a scam.
