I get calls from 02081392659 pretty much every day. Most of the time they just hang up straight away, but sometimes they say they’re ringing from BT on behalf of them. Quite annoying really.

Not too sure about the exact name, but there was a bloke with really good English who managed to process a payment via my bank while we were chatting on the phone. It was something linked to Groupon and Greene King.

Got a call from an Indian guy trying to pitch a free phone upgrade. I politely turned down what seemed like a dodgy offer and told him where he could shove his so-called upgrade. I hung up straight after, so no idea if he managed to pull anything off.

There was a lot of noise in the background so I couldn’t really make out the company’s name. They were trying to sell a phone with a 40% discount. I cut them off then and asked where they found my number. I also nicely told them to take me off their call list.

I was inundated with a cacophony of sounds in the background - it felt very much like being connected to a call centre. The individual on the line was probing for information regarding my current mobile provider as well as the phone I was using at that moment. They claimed they had a splendid deal of a 40% discount on a new contract for me. To cut a long tale short, it reeked of a scam!
