Received a phone call on the 16th of November, 2019, from a chap claiming to be John Miller. He spoke with an accent that sounded notably foreign-perhaps Pakistani or Indian? He purported to be from HMRC, mentioning an ID number, 909942, and insisted that I had unpaid taxes dating back to 2015. However, I can assure you, I have no tax dues outstanding, and typically, HMRC communicates through written correspondence sent directly to my address rather than contacting me without warning over the phone. The number from which he called was 02039051103.

Following my partner's call to HMRC regarding a suspected fraud, they've confirmed that this is indeed a scam. It seems to be quite prevalent at the moment. I'd strongly advise against returning the call; they're just after your hard-earned cash.

I received a rather alarming phone call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. They ominously informed me that the police would be arriving to arrest me at half past five due to a warrant over alleged tax underpayment. I tried to explain that I'm on PAYE, but they dismissed my concerns, stating it was irrelevant! The number that called me was 02039051103. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

I received a rather alarming message from this number, warning that failure to call back could lead to some legal repercussions. Quite oddly, it concluded with a polite "thank you and take care." The caller remains unidentified-very suspicious indeed!
