Got a call from some bloke saying his name was Marcus Elias, claimed to be a chartered surveyor and historic rates auditor with a firm called BRC. He told me that our company had overpaid on historic rates for buildings we've rented before and said we were owed a refund. Insisted he needed to speak with our finance director, and kept saying he only gets paid if he wins the case. Gave him an email for the finance director but it smelt like spam to me. He just kept repeating the same line over and over again.

Extremely impolite bloke, no chance of reaching anyone here. We've gone and blocked the number!

Some bloke rang up, saying he was from a firm of chartered surveyors, but he was really impolite.
