I ended up just hanging up as soon as I picked up the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were with o2, but their accent sounded really heavily Indian. When I asked for some ID and told him to get lost, he basically told me to f*** off in a much ruder way. Definitely not how a proper o2 worker would act, especially if there was a real issue. Total scam!

This number just rang me. A bloke with a strong Indian accent claimed he was calling from O2, offering me a discount on my phone bill. I asked if he was sure he'd dialled the correct number, and he said yes. So I challenged him to tell me my name and address, and then he just ended the call. Never got to mention I’m not even an O2 customer haha :D

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, trying to trick me into giving them my two-factor authentication code. Definitely a scam! They were basically fishing for my login details.

Got a call saying they're giving me huge discounts on my mobile deal. Then they asked for the security code, the one only the actual account holder should know. Even O2 employees never ask for that info. As soon as they wanted that code, I was sure it was a scam.

Some bloke pretending to be alright got proper rude when I said no. Then he tried to sweeten the deal with a discount on my bill, but just kept shuffling me between departments. What worries me is they did an OTC on me and it seemed real, so watch out and don't get caught out!

Received a call from someone named Michael with a strong accent, claiming to be from O2 and offering a 40% bill discount for a year. He told me he'd send two texts to set it up. When I tried to ask questions, he kept interrupting me. I asked how I could be sure it wasn’t a scam, and he just kept repeating he was from O2 and that the discount was real. When I pressed further about trusting him, he ended up saying I was unlucky and wouldn’t get the discount. Not sure who cut off the call first after that.

Got a dodgy call pretending to be from O2. They try to tempt you with a discount and then want to get into your account. I told O2 about it and they said this scam has been going on for ages, usually hitting people on Friday afternoons. The trick is they’ll place an order for a phone that isn’t even right on your account, send it out to you, and then the catch is they give you a fake return address to send it back to. Proper sneaky stuff.

Just had to block yet another annoying caller.

Got a call claiming it was from o2 about my bill, but I know I'm not with them so it had to be a scam. Pretty obvious since o2 isn't my internet provider.

SCAM - Someone claimed to be from O2 and told me I qualified for a discount. He said he’d send me a text message, and I did receive one from O2 with a security code. When he asked for the code, I refused because the message clearly said never to share it with anyone. He got cross and insisted I didn’t understand, but I told him I did, the instructions were clear not to give the code out, even to O2 staff. I ended the call and rang O2 directly, who confirmed it was a scam. He was likely trying to get into my account online, and when he failed the usual security checks, he asked for the code so it looked legit. Definitely a scam.

Cheers to everyone who posted before me - made me feel better about trusting my instincts! The caller kept pushing that he was calling from O2's main office and promised a 40% off deal. I asked him to provide a direct number so I could ring back after considering it, but he clearly wasn’t happy with that and insisted on sorting it out right away, which made me even more wary. He got really persistent, but I told him I wasn’t about to share info with someone hassling me on the phone, then ended the call. Wouldn’t trust this number if I were you!

Got a call from someone saying they were O2 and offering a discount on my bill, saying they’d send a code to keep it going. I asked for details, hoping to see if they actually knew what discount I had, but they said I was confused and tried to put me through to a manager. I ended the call. They rang me back right away, then again the following day, but I ignored both. I asked a mate who works at O2 and they reckoned it was probably a scam.

Got a call where someone was trying to pass off as O2. Totally fake, don’t trust it if you get the same. They were asking loads of questions and it felt really dodgy. Just hang up straight away!

I got a call from what sounded like an insurance firm after I did a quote online, so it seemed like a genuine follow-up. That said, I’m not entirely convinced they don’t also ring up people out of the blue, which is why I’m giving it a meh rating.

02039003034 called me out of the blue saying they were from O2. When I asked a few questions to check if it was legit, they just ended the call. Quite suspicious really.

Somebody rang me saying they were from O2 and promised a half price discount on my bills. They said I'd get a text with a one-time code from O2 and then asked me to share that code with them. Turns out it's a total scam. I hung up straight away. Later, I got two texts from O2, the first one was a warning telling me if anyone calls asking for a code, to just hang up because they’re not actually from O2.

Said they were from O2 but I wasn’t convinced at all.

I picked up and they just cut off straight away. The day before, I got two calls from a number almost like this one, but with 3007 at the end instead of 3034, makes me think it's probably some kind of spam.
