Got a call earlier from someone saying they were from the Domestic Appliance Group, which is supposed to cover my washer dryer. I asked them to confirm where they’re from and they just kept saying Domestic Appliance Group. I told them they must be mixing us up with Domestic & General. Then they just cut me off. Why do people have to try and scam you these days?

Got a call from someone saying they were from Domestic and General about our washing machine cover. They wanted our bank sort code to supposedly cut down the payments. Luckily, I told my partner to hold on before she shared anything 'cause our insurance is actually with a different company. Total scam! Never give out your bank details on the phone to anyone.

Got a call at 11:21 about my washing machine insurance needing renewal, said it had expired. When I questioned him, he knew my name and address and even mentioned a monthly payment I supposedly made. Totally wrong - I have no insurance and nothing’s been taken from my bank. In the end, he said he’d remove me from their list! Absolute scam, watch out for this.
