The caller, a woman with a noticeable accent, mentioned something about a reservation I supposedly made. I decided to hang up and tried ringing the number again, only to be greeted by a bot speaking in a foreign tongue. I can only presume it's a scam!6 yearsReceived a rather dubious call this evening purporting to be from Trip.com, asserting that our hotel reservation had been forfeited and that they’d mistakenly credited our account, necessitating an immediate return of funds. They were quite insistent on acquiring our bank details. However, after conversing with Trip.com on numerous occasions, as well as directly engaging with the hotel, it was crystal clear we weren’t entitled to any cancellation or reimbursement, which raised my eyebrows a fair bit. Now I’m even more suspicious, particularly since this number has only been operational since the 5th of March, whereas Trip.com has been in the business far longer.
