Phone number ☎️ 02038966007 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers claiming to be local energy advisers from London, often targeting people far outside the area. Callers try to discuss home insulation, particularly rockwool and fibreglass, but their info and approach seem untrustworthy. Some use AI or prerecorded messages, frequently hanging up if challenged or if the recipient says they’re not the homeowner. The numbers vary slightly but follow a pattern and repeat over months. Many recipients block the number or simply do not answer due to suspicion. Overall, these calls are considered unsolicited and misleading, with a consistent tactic of pretending local expertise to gain trust before hanging up when caught out.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise at about 6:06pm on the 14th of September. They didn't leave any voicemail or message.

Some bloke rang saying he was “Mark, your local energy adviser from nearby”, sounded proper posh. But since I live over 200 miles from London, I told him he was talking rubbish and then he just ended the call straight away. Blocked him after that.

No reply, so I just blocked the number.

Had a call from someone upfront claiming they did home repairs, but it turned out to be a total fib.

Got calls from this number a few times here in South Devon. I never pick up since my phone flags it as suspicious - all the details are clear except the number itself. I make it a habit to double-check before I even think about answering.

This one was a bit smarter than the typical Local Energy Advisor con artists you usually get.

As soon as they heard me speak, the person on the other end just ended the call.

I got a call from "UK Home Improvements" and as soon as an Indian guy answered and said hello, there was this pre-recorded AI voice that started talking. Quite strange!

Got a call from a number pretty close to the one I got yesterday (02038966007), with the same woman called Joan going on about how rubbish rock wool and fibreglass are, claiming to be my “local” energy advisor. Problem is, she’s based nearly 200 miles away! She asked if I was the home owner, so I decided to fib and said “no.” Sure enough, she hung up straight away! I’d heard that scammers often drop the call if you say you’re not the owner, so I thought I’d test it out.

Ended up blocking it after seeing what others had to say about that number.

I got a call just yesterday from 02038966000, not the 007 one like some say. But over time, I’ve seen loads of calls from numbers that only differ at the end - ones ending with 2816, 2812, 2071, 2062, 2013, 1790, 1529, 1321, 1293, 1275, 1272, and more. This has been going on since about June. Seriously, when will they stop bothering us?

Got a call from someone claiming to be local energy experts, but their number was from London, like a hundred miles away! They were asking about rockwool and glass insulation. Seems dodgy, probably a scam.
