I've noticed a plethora of similar numbers, each one nothing more than a scam. Investing in a phone that screens callers is a sound idea — genuine individuals will leave voice messages for you. Furthermore, you have the convenience of blocking any pesky callers whenever it suits you.

I received a call from someone named Luke, who touts himself as a local energy advisor. He mentioned that I had inadequate loft insulation without so much as knowing my name or where I lived! I quickly told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. Seems to me like it’s just another one of those pesky energy scams.

Received a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I chose not to answer. They didn't bother leaving a voicemail, which leads me to suspect it's likely a scam. I'm already registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which should prevent such unsolicited calls. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Received a call on my mobile around 11 in the morning. I didn’t recognise the number, so I opted not to pick up. The call then went straight to my voicemail, yet there was no message left behind. I’ve since decided to block that number using Truecaller.

This number didn’t come up on my phone and they didn't bother to leave a voicemail. I suspect it's some sort of spam or a marketing ploy, so I've decided to block them for good!
