Some woman rang up saying she was an "energy advisor" for my neighbourhood. She started off by asking if I owned the house, but I hung up straight away. It was half past six on a Saturday evening - I guess I was quite patient with her.2 yearsI questioned these scammers about why they don’t just find a proper job, and they actually told me they’re making millions this way so why bother working. Absolute scumbags. They keep ringing me, texting, emailing, even sending fake letters all the time pretending to be from different businesses. And it’s impossible to surf the web without getting hit by endless ads that these con artists are behind.2 yearsAt the start of the call, the robotic voice reminded me of Freddy Parrot, making a squawky 'Ello' sound that seemed like a prank at first. The automated questions were about owning a home and insulation, which I answered with a firm no or declined politely. The questions only seemed relevant if you'd said yes to any of them. Then, out of nowhere, the call ended suddenly while I was still being asked something random. Could’ve been AI, but more likely some call centre with a pre-recorded voice.
