Totally feels like a con. I’m playing along with a made up story so far. They asked for my first pet’s name and stuff like that. I set up a bogus email and threw in some fake details. Planning to trick them into using AnyDesk so I can snatch their info and maybe reveal what they’re really after. Better to keep their attention on me than on someone else who’s easier to fool. But if you’re not into messing about like I am... just say your name’s pierogi and watch them hang up quick.

Got a call saying it was Virgin Media or O2, warning my sim card would get blocked. Totally dodgy since I don’t even have a phone plan with them. Definitely a scam!

This number rang me a while ago and I thought it was dodgy. The person on the other end had a thick accent, probably from India, and kept talking about how two phone companies merged and that they were gonna send me a new SIM. I struggled to catch what they were saying and they told me to wait on the line. Something didn’t feel right so I just hung up straight away. They tried calling me again less than an hour later but I ignored it. Later, I looked up the number and found out it’s linked to scams, so glad I didn’t trust it!

Beware of this scammer claiming to be from Virgin and O2. It’s a woman with a strong Indian accent who struggles to speak clearly. Definitely don’t answer and just block the number straight away.
