Dodgy call - A bloke with an Asian accent claimed he was calling from EE and said they’d be sending me a new SIM card, promising I could keep my current numbers and passwords. He asked me to confirm my phone number and repeated the last few digits to check. That’s when I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

My phone warned me it was probably a scam, then Google popped up with a transcript asking what they wanted, but then they just cut the call. After reading all these comments, cheers Google for the heads up. Honestly, these lot should stop bothering folks and sort themselves out with proper jobs, seriously.

I got a call on my mobile from someone who claimed to be with Virgin Mobile or O2. They kept calling me "Maam," which was a bit odd. They told me my SIM was going to be deactivated soon and then wanted me to verify if I was actually an O2 customer. Pretty fishy if you ask me!

I didn’t pick up the call and there was no voicemail either, so I looked it up here. Seems like it could be that O2 contract scam again. I’m with O2 myself, and a few years back I got a dodgy call too. When I rang O2, they said they never ring customers about contracts or “exclusive offers”.
