This morning I got a call with that usual spiel about insuring my washing machine. I've had calls like this a couple times before, and they always go to my voicemail. Turns out, quite a few others have flagged the number 0203 893704 for the same scam too.

Got a few calls from them on my landline. I didn’t pick up. They just hung around until the voicemail prompt finished but never actually left anything.

Just like loads of other folks have mentioned here, the caller knew my name and said it was about insurance for my washing machine. But then, right in the middle of explaining, he just cut the call off.

Just got a ring from this number and was nearly fooled by the stuff they knew about me. I do have a washing machine insurance with D & G, and thought I might’ve been out of cover, so I gave them some bank info (not my card details, thankfully) to confirm everything was alright. After the call, I looked at my old documents and saw the dates they mentioned didn’t match up at all. Tried to ring back but the number was unreachable! Feeling proper annoyed with myself now, so I quickly phoned the bank to flag it as a potential scam and make sure they monitor for any funny business.

Honestly, these scammers behind this number are some of the lowest forms of scum I've come across. I really don't get it - how many complaints do they need before this number finally gets blocked? The quicker it disappears the better, seriously.

Got a call from 0203893704 and when I picked up, some voice said if you’re into criminal stuff, press 1 to chat with a BT engineer. Weirdly, no mention of anything to do with washing machines! Needless to say, I didn’t bother pressing 1.

I had a similar experience to those mentioned earlier. I was inquiring about my washing machine when, just as he was starting to introduce himself, he abruptly disconnected the call. Quite puzzling, really!

I’ve had two calls from this number within the same week, both times referencing my husband by name. They claimed he purchased insurance for a washing machine last year, even mentioning a company that seems to have vanished into thin air. When I challenged this, the caller became rather rude and insisted he had the paperwork right in front of him. I informed him that no such document could possibly exist, as the washing machine was a gift from a family member, at which point he abruptly hung up.

They keep ringing no matter how many times you tell them to stop. Honestly, telling them not to call doesn’t work at all. I’ve had to block the number now. Best thing is just don’t pick up and block straight away. It’s really awful how these scammers seem to get hold of your details and try to trick you. Plenty of us know it’s dodgy, but it’s the old and those who’re not so tech-savvy who get caught out. The government really needs to step up and do more to put an end to this nonsense.

They keep ringing even after I asked them to stop. I ended up blocking the number cos they just won’t quit. Best to just ignore and block these calls, seriously. It’s shocking how much info these scammers get hold of to try and rip people off. Plenty of people know it’s dodgy, but it’s the older and more trusting ones who get caught out. The government really needs to do more to put an end to this rubbish properly.

Got a call earlier today from a company calling themselves D&G Insurance, saying that my washing machine warranty had run out and needed renewing. They actually knew my name and where I live, which threw me off a bit. But since I don’t have any insurance for the washing machine, I instantly guessed it was a scam. I told the bloke I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Watch out for scams like this, they can sound convincing!

I just got a phone call from some people claiming they were D&G, saying my washing machine insurance needed renewing. The man asked for me by my name, but when I told him I never took out any insurance for my washing machine, he just insisted "your washing machine insurance runs out on 18th July" and then ended the call. Definitely a scam - watch out!

Just got a call from this number and it was my husband who first answered. The caller claimed his name was John but he didn’t want to speak to him, only me. He tried to tell me my washing machine insurance needed renewing, which I thought was odd as I’ve never taken out insurance for it. I told him my machine’s quite old anyway, and if I wanted a new one, I’d just buy it myself. No sooner had I said that, the line just went dead. I might be a bit on the older side, but I’m no fool!

I got a call from 0203749038 saying my washing machine insurance was up for renewal - I told them I don’t even have any washing machine insurance! The call just cut off - bit suspicious if you ask me. Then, only last week, someone rang claiming to be from the police, saying they’d stopped a credit card scam - what a load of rubbish! I just laughed them off. Seriously, folks, be very careful. Don’t give out personal details, send cash, or do anything over the phone with strangers. These scammers are the worst. Stay safe out there!

Got a call from them earlier today, saying I supposedly had a contract for a washing machine service. Something felt off straight away. The bloke sounded like he knew my name, address, and landline, insisting it was about renewing the agreement. When I asked what details they actually had, he suddenly mentioned I had cover for my cooker and fridge freezer as well. I asked for the policy number and which company it was with, but he just said, “I don’t have that, I don’t make the rules,” then quickly hung up on me. Proper dodgy!

i missed the guy's name but he claimed to be from some tech support team. he kept asking for my husband by his name and when i said i was his wife he gave a sarcastic "congrats" then kept demanding to speak to him. i tried explaining that my husband is very unwell with heart issues and was asleep, and offered to help instead, but he just shut off the call abruptly. really unprofessional behaviour.

Someone rang saying we had some sort of service contract with them for a washing machine, which isn’t true at all. When my husband asked why they were ringing as we’ve never used their services, the person on the phone got really snarky and said “I’m certain you have, and I’m not disputing it.” Proper cheeky and quite nasty tbh. We’ve blocked the number now.
