Just got a call about my health insurance, which I actually don't have. Pretty sure it was a scam!

Just got a call and let it ring about 10 times, only to hear the line drop right as I picked up. Judging by the info here, it was probably one of those dull calls: maybe about a crash I supposedly had, my mobile not working, a failed delivery, or a pitch for triple glazing or insulation. Or perhaps some ridiculous investment scheme from a royal in some far-off African country, or a warning about my credit score being messed up by the tax office or some survey company. Honestly, these calls are so tiresome - does anyone behind them ever step outside for some fresh air?

A caller claimed to be from a warranty firm, saying my fridge freezer and washing machine were no longer covered and trying to sell me a protection plan for £8.60 a week. When I asked where I’d bought these appliances, they couldn’t answer and just ended the call. It was unsettling because they seemed to know my address and wanted my bank details to arrange payments.

Today this number called me twice but I didn’t pick up since I didn’t know who it was. Sounds like one of those scam calls. They can keep trying all they want, I’m not bothering to answer.

Today, I got a call from this number about upgrading my mobile. When I asked which company they were from, the person just didn't say anything and hung up straight away. Feels really dodgy and suspicious to me.
