Absolute scam! They claim to be from HMRC but speak with a thick Indian accent and never actually explain what HMRC stands for. They then try to fool you into giving your name, address, and insurance number - obviously don’t share real info! After that, they connect you to a so-called Royal Court of Justice department and tell you to look up their phone number, which is 020 7947 6000. Here’s the crazy bit: they say they aren’t scammers but a legit government body, and ask you to hang up so they can ring you back from that same number! Total con.

I got a call from +44 20 3893 2516 and they claimed to be from HMRC. They told me to ring a certain number back and warned that if I didn’t get in touch right away, there’d be legal trouble. It felt pretty dodgy to me.

#### scam: I missed the call but they left a voicemail. It was some automated woman’s voice from America warning me about a supposed problem with HMRC and saying the police would get involved if I didn’t ring back. Definitely a scam ####

Somebody called saying they were from HM Revenue and Customs, but I felt a bit iffy about it and decided not to go on with the chat. Feels like it was a scam to me.
