Got a voicemail from someone called Gray, said they were from HMRC. Sounded really pushy and a bit scary. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it.

Got a robocall earlier claiming to be Officer Dennis Gray from the HRMC Customs. It was really irritating. Definitely a scam that could freak out lots of folks.

Haha, seems like Officer Dennis Gray is on his way to drag me off! I’m bracing myself to “deal with the fallout.” Honestly, if they ring me back and chat directly, I’d appreciate it - I doubt they’ve ever met anyone like me before. Absolute muppets, all of them.

Yesterday I got a call from a mobile number where some automated voice claiming to be 'Officer Dennis Grey' told me to ring back or else there’d be consequences. Sounds like the same scam is going around.

Got this long chat claiming to be from HMRC, ended up with threats about a solicitor and being warned not to brush them off. Really makes me wonder, how on earth do they even have my number?

Got two calls today from someone claiming to be HMRC, said there was an urgent problem and that either me or my lawyer had to ring them back or I'd be facing legal action. So dodgy!

Got a call from 02038904139 claiming to be HMRC, some bloke named Officer James Brown said I had money owed on my income tax. I knew it was dodgy right away, but figured I’d mess with them a bit, so gave totally made-up details for my postcode and house number. They told me I owed £8900 and threatened arrest if I didn’t pay up. Then they warned that the call was being recorded - that’s when I told them I was recording too, and the line went dead. Honestly, quite entertaining for a bit!

I've received a rather dubious call claiming to be from HMRC, and let me tell you, it's as dodgy as they come! They throw around vague threats but don't bother to mention my name at all. It's all very suspicious and feels like a scam for sure.

Just encountered an HMRC scam that's utterly ridiculous. The criminals behind it clearly aren’t very bright, yet they still resort to intimidation, pressuring folks to send money. Absolute lowlifes, if you ask me!

Dodgy HMRC call. I managed to keep them chatting for nearly two hours. They were asking me to send over £7000 in total, split into two payments with the first being £4000. The bank details they gave me were under the name Jack Karroll, Sort Code 04-06-05 and Account Number 13653575 - looks like a TIDE account to me. Definitely report it to TIDE if you can. The longer you keep these scammers on the line, the less time they have to bother others. Worth the effort to waste their time!

Just got a call from 02038904139 with some robo voice saying my national insurance number wasn’t valid or something. Fair laugh as I’m 60 and it’s a bit too late to stress about that, plus I’ve been working all me life so doubt that’s right! Blocked the number straight away.

Got a couple of voicemails from some automated system saying it’s urgent and telling me not to ignore it. They said to ring Officer Grey back or else there’d be trouble. Since I’ve dealt with HMRC before, I knew something was fishy because they don’t handle things like that. But honestly, it did give me a shock. I reckon anyone not familiar with HMRC might panic and call back - could easily end up getting scammed badly.

Got a couple of dodgy calls in the last hour from supposedly HMRC. This robotic voice warned me or my solicitor to ring them back or face "serious consequences." Of course, I didn’t pick up or ring back, and surprise surprise, no officers in badges have come knocking or arrested me. It’s like clockwork every year, these HMRC scam calls just keep on coming.
