4 yearsTotal scam, definitely not O2.4 yearsThe person had a really thick accent and it was hard to catch what they were saying. They said they were from "02, your phone company," but I’m not even an 02 customer! I told them straight up it’s a scam or just a spam call, then I said bye and ended the call. I’ve blocked that number since.4 yearsI picked up the phone, but there was silence on the other end.4 yearsBe cautious, everyone! I've just had a run-in with a scammer who attempted to con me. This chap proposed a whopping 50% slashing on my O2 contract, which, for the record, I don’t even possess! I’m not an O2 customer at all. To make matters worse, he requested my O2 one-time passcode. Quite alarming, I must say! Stay alert!4 yearsI got a couple of messages too, supposedly from 02, telling me not to chat with anyone else about the matter. Then they phoned me claiming it was from 02. Bit fishy if you ask me.024 yearsGetting pestered like this is just normal here, sadly. It's how things roll in this awful country.4 yearsGot a call supposedly about special discounts for regular customers. The line was really bad and the person just rushed through some scripted spiel so fast I couldn't understand a thing. Then, they asked if that was alright? I just ended the call there.4 yearsTotally a scam. Got a call from an 02 number saying I could get 40% off my bill or something like that. I was suspicious straight away, so I asked the bloke when I first signed up with 02. He couldn’t answer and just kept going on about how I’m a loyal customer or whatever. But he never knew any simple details about my actual account. No way it was legit.4 yearsI received a rather dodgy phone call from a chap claiming I'd been awarded a 40% discount through O2. He insisted that in order to claim this offer, I needed to provide him with a code I had supposedly received via text message. It dawned on me that this code was likely linked to a password reset for my MyO2 account. Had I fallen for it and shared the code, they would have promptly gained access to my account. When I mentioned I was preoccupied and would ring back later, he became rather confrontational, pressuring me for the SMS code before I eventually cut the conversation short. I firmly stood my ground, telling him where to shove it, no less than three times!4 yearsi picked up the phone through my earbuds and after a bit the guy started talking about something to do with o2. meanwhile i was just walking with my phone in my pocket and noticed random numbers were being dialled. he then shouted at me, calling me a rude name and telling me to stop pressing buttons. he kept repeating the insults and getting more frustrated, saying i was wasting his time. i found it funny and told him straight up he was a scammer. he fired back with another insult before hanging up. i've since reported him to the ico.ICO4 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from O2 saying they had a brilliant deal - 40% off my monthly bill. Then they asked for my one-time passcode to “verify” my account. Turns out they just wanted to hack it. These scammers sound quite posh and confident, and they don’t give up easily. Definitely don’t ever hand over any codes or details to them!4 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with 02 trying to offer a 40% discount on my bill. I told them I’m not an 02 customer and they just said alright then and ended the call straight away.4 yearsI took a call through my headphones and there was a delay before the other party started talking, mentioning something about O2. I was out for a stroll, and since my phone was in my pocket, it must’ve been inadvertently dialing some random digits. The caller promptly started hurling insults, calling me a 'bitch' and demanding that I stop pressing numbers. As I had plenty of time on my hands, his irritation grew, along with his abusive comments. Finding the situation rather amusing, I pointed out that he was just another scam artist. He retaliated by throwing another insult my way before hanging up.Submit Your Own Report (020 3890 0220)
