Got a call from a woman saying she was from AA Auto Assist about a recent fender bender. I was a bit shook, thinking I'd somehow been in an accident since I'm still a new driver. I told her I hadn’t had any accident, and she just ended the call. When I rang the number back, it went to some hold music and a recorded message saying "your policy is important, please wait for the next available adviser" but after a few minutes it just cut me off. Really dodgy.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be AA Auto Assist. Since I already have AA Roadside cover, I politely said I was busy at work and couldn't chat. Some bloke called me claiming to be Zach from 02 Assist, saying he was ringing for the AA about an accident I supposedly had within the last two years, and that I was due some compensation since I wasn't at fault. So this lady with an accent rang me claiming she was from Auto Assist and asked if it was me she was speaking to. She wanted to chat about a car crash I supposedly had recently. I told her I don’t drive, so it couldn’t have been me involved. Then she asked if maybe someone else in my house might have been in it or if I was a passenger. I told her I live on my own, so that’s not possible. We ended the call politely and both said goodbye.

Got a call from someone named "Maddi" who said they knew I hadn’t collected money owed to me from a no-fault crash.
