Some lady called Jennifer Wilson, said she’s from "Microsofft" and told me my PC’s been hacked and someone’s using my info for things like buying drugs or stuff illegal, but she can fix it. She phoned me three times - the last call came from the number you mentioned, which was different to the one she used the day before.

I received a call from this number, and a chap with an Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft. He informed me that my computer was under attack. Curious, I asked how they connected my computer to my landline, and he insisted they had my computer's license number along with all my information. Yet, when pressed, he couldn’t even identify the make of my machine. I decided to entertain their nonsense for a bit, but then I had enough and hung up. They persisted, attempting to ring me back numerous times, so in the end, I had to disconnect the phone entirely!

I received a call this morning from a woman with an Asian accent who claimed she was phoning regarding my Microsoft computer. I didn’t hold back and gave her a piece of my mind about her shady attempts to con people out of their hard-earned cash. Honestly, at 8am on a Friday, who has time for that nonsense? To make matters worse, she even had my name, which raised my suspicions further!

Some bloke phoned claiming to be from Microsoft about my computer. When I asked which one, he just said "your computer." I told him I don’t own a computer and called him a scammer. He then got all defensive, saying I had no right to call him that, but I said he had no right to be ringing me. Ended up hanging up on him.

Guy phoned me with a foreign accent, seemed Asian, claiming my computer was infected with nasty malware. He said he needed to access my computer to get rid of it before hackers could do damage. He asked, "Are you at your computer now?" I told him I don’t actually have a computer, just a smart TV, and he got real quiet after that. Recognised this number from checking 1471 before, it's dodgy.

Got a call from a bloke calling himself Brad Stephens. He claimed I had issues with Microsoft and some computer problems. I pretended I didn’t own a computer, and he called me a lying bastard. I called him out as a scammer, then he showed his real photo. If you wanna know more, check out Pierogi's vids on YouTube - scammer payback. The name sounded familiar from those clips. The guy said the call centre is in Calcutta. He’s trying to bust scammers by wiping their files.

Pretty sure it was one of those Microsoft scams. They kept saying they were from the ‘Microsoft Technical Support’. The bloke was pretty rude and got nasty when we didn’t bite. They called me like 9 times over just a couple hours, coming from like 5 different numbers. All the same lot, no doubt. Honestly, BT really ought to block these scammers but I guess they’re cashing in too much to care!

So this Anna from Microsoft calls again, acting like she forgot she already tried to scam me a couple days back and I totally wasted her time. She’s all like, “Are you at your computer?” I said no, and she says “Then I have to block your computer.” I just told her to go ahead, knowing she can’t actually do that. She just ended the call. Some bloke claimed he was with Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. Since Microsoft doesn’t ring people out of the blue, it’s obviously a scam. Could be really risky for folks who don’t know about these tricks.

Someone rang claiming to be from Microsoft. They got quite irate when I started to doubt why they needed me to take 'urgent measures'-then they just slammed the phone down!

This person told me my computer was 'supporting hackers' and threatened to report me to the police. He claimed he could lock me out of my computer and block my accounts online. When I questioned him, he got really rude and started shouting. I hung up. He called back and shouted more, so I ended it again. On the third call, he kept yelling but I ignored it and just left the phone down. Eventually he stopped calling. Please be careful and don’t share any details with this scammer.

I received a call claiming there was an issue with my Windows system, and they mentioned they were trying to follow up regarding multiple emails. What sent a shiver down my spine was how they seemed to know my name. They insisted I start entering commands, beginning with 'cmd'. At that point, I decided it was best to hang up and not engage further. After the call, I reached out to OfCom at 0300123 3333. They took my information and recommended I get in touch with Action Fraud - a police-run initiative - on 0300 123 2040. They recorded my details and advised me to see if my email had been involved in any data breaches through HAVEIBEENPWNED. To my dismay, I discovered I was affected by five breaches! They also suggested I check for potential identity theft through various credit accounts in my name, which I did using the free service CLEARSCORE - thankfully, there were no issues on that front. Action Fraud then encouraged me to document my experience on a site where others report similar calls, which is quite like this one.

Got a call from a really pushy Asian lady claiming to be from Microsoft about my computer being hacked. I just ended the call. She rang straight back from another number, 02070524334, asking why I’d cut her off. Then some Asian bloke jumped on the line and started yelling, insisting I switch my computer on. I ignored him and hung up. Later on, they called again but I let it go to voicemail - nothing was left. Honestly, don’t get caught out by these con artists; they’re just trying to scare you. Complete tossers who want to steal whatever they can. BE CAREFUL!!!

Most likely a pestering scammer. Like loads of unknown numbers nowadays, it's probably some call centre that auto-dials you and then you just wait either for someone to pick up or for the call to drop. If they actually got through, I'd say it's harassment just for having the cheek to ring me!

I got a call from 02038871901 earlier today, my husband picked up and a woman with an Asian accent claimed to be from Microsoft concerning his computer. My husband hasn’t got a computer though, and told her that. She then tried to say maybe it was his laptop or tablet. He said he doesn’t own any of those either, said goodbye, and ended the call. After reading other people's experiences here, I’m fairly sure it’s just another scam.

I got a call from someone with a thick Indian accent claiming to be Jessica Waltham from Microsoft, asking if my PC was switched on. I’d just got back from the shops so said it might take a bit to turn it on, and she didn’t mind waiting. I went off to put my shopping away which took ages, then answered again and blurted out, “Oh, sorry, I don’t actually own a computer, but cheers for calling.” Then I quickly hung up. Honestly, even with all these scam calls that never stop, that one made me smile. It’s been going on for years now - there really should be a way to stop it.

There was this bloke with a weird accent, couldn’t figure out where exactly he was from or what he was trying to say (thought I was losing my hearing or something!). When I asked him to explain properly, he kept saying I had to do something, but I just couldn’t understand what. Then suddenly the call just disconnected.

02038871901 rang me claiming they were from Microsoft and said my PC was compromised. They asked me to check the Event Viewer. Knowing these scams, I pretended to go along but didn’t actually do anything. When I kept asking her to repeat herself to waste her time and stop her bothering others, she snapped at me asking if I was deaf. Pretty sure Microsoft don't train their staff to behave like that!

Keep an eye on calls for my elderly family member. Pretty obvious scam from what I've read in the comments. I blocked the number after checking this website. The caller claimed stuff about Microsoft, but the person I'm looking after doesn't even own a computer. They've rung twice so far. The second time, since I'd already put them on the blacklist, it went straight to voicemail. Proper annoying.
