It was rather evident he had an Indian accent, which immediately set off alarm bells. When you get a call from a UK number and the voice on the other end doesn’t quite match, it inherently breeds suspicion. If you’ve had a similar experience with this number, I can confidently say it’s dodgy. Firstly, he didn’t bid farewell in a courteous manner, which is quite unusual. Moreover, his claim that there were no operators in the Netherlands couldn’t possibly be correct; they’re always able to ring me back whenever suits them. And honestly, why call from a UK number when they’re supposedly based elsewhere? It just adds to the confusion. There’s a distinct possibility that there’s been a leak in their database, and they seemed to know an unsettling amount about me-my name, address, email, and phone number are all potential targets.
