Got a missed call from this number earlier. Before checking their voicemail, I rang them straight back. A bloke answered and asked for my postcode. Luckily, the call got cut off or he just hung up. After that, I searched the number here and listened to the message. They claimed to be from HMRC and left a really scary voicemail saying if I or my solicitor didn’t get back to them, there’d be serious repercussions. Proper dodgy! Cheers for having this site.

Someone called me saying there was an issue with my amazon account, but I’ve never had one. Just a heads up, be careful with these kinds of calls!

I got a recorded message from someone named Janice Gray saying it was an urgent note from HM Revenue & Customs. The message gave a number to call back and warned not to ignore it. It said if I didn’t ring back or contact my solicitor, I'd be facing legal trouble. It sounded really threatening, but luckily I’ve got a bit of sense and knew HMRC wouldn’t send messages like this. I phoned the number provided and it turned out to be some bloke with a strong accent, and the line sounded like it was from abroad. Watch out for these - HMRC actually has a warning and a form on their website about these scams. If you get a call like that, make sure you report it!
