Got two calls recently from someone saying they were from Scottish Power, wanting to check some billing stuff about an overcharge. The phone number matched one that’s been connected to another energy company scam mentioned here before, so I just ended the call and blocked the number.

I got two calls from the same number, first time was probably around three months back and then they rang again today. The person said they were from Smartest Energy, my energy supplier, and mentioned there had been some sort of tech problem that meant I might have been charged too much. They asked me to have my latest bill ready to check over with them. When I first got the call months ago, I rang Smartest Energy directly and they told me it wasn’t them and that it was a scam. Definitely won't be trusting those calls again.
