Got a call from 02038 843594 which didn’t look like a proper London number at all. It was some recorded message about HMRC or something. I checked the HMRC site and it clearly says they don’t ring you like this - only send official letters. Didn’t hang around to find out, ended the call straight away in case it was one of those premium rate scams and blocked the number.
