Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, offering a 40% off my plan. The lady had a thick Indian accent and there was all this typical call centre noise in the background. I told her I don’t actually have a contract with O2, just a £5 a month PAYG deal, so I’m pretty sure a discount wouldn’t be on the cards. She kept repeating the same spiel over and over. These O2 scam calls come in nearly every few days - as soon as I block one, another one rings through. Told her exactly what I thought of her 🙄.

Got a call claiming to be from o2 saying I could get 40% off my next bill. When I questioned why they’d do that, they said it was because I always pay on time?! Then they asked if I was the account holder. I refused to confirm until they told me who they thought it was - apparently, they couldn’t proceed without that info. They wanted me to click a link as well. Sounds like a proper scam to me. DEFINITELY NOT LEGIT!!!

I just got a call from this number, and they purported to be from O2. They were trying to reel me in with some sort of festive discount. When I requested them to verify my name, they stated that they needed to send a text message for confirmation first. I pointed out that they were the ones who made the call! From my past experiences with similar numbers, I know that O2 or any other mobile provider would never ring a customer like this. Please be cautious and don’t get caught up in this SCAM. It's disgraceful that individuals like this exist.

They rang me twice within like five minutes so I figured better answer or I’d just keep getting bugged. A man with an accent answered, didn’t know my name though. He said it was about some Auto Renew deal I had, which was weird cos if that was right he’d definitely know my name. I told him I didn’t have any contract like that and just ended the call.
