Over the past couple of days, I’ve had about 5 calls from someone claiming to be with Ofcom Energy, saying they could help reduce my gas and electric bills. Since I’m on a pay-as-you-go meter, they advised me to call my provider and switch to direct debit. I told them I’m on disability benefits and managing monthly payments would be hard. They kept insisting they could save me £20 a month and told me to phone my supplier, saying they’d ring me back afterwards. Out of curiosity, I looked up the number and the first thing that popped up was SCAM. They’d never call and ask for your details like that! Seriously, be cautious and don’t hand over your info to anyone on the phone. If you even have a tiny doubt, it’s better not to risk it!

Its really frustrating when I pick up and they just hang up on me straight away. Then if I block one number, a new one pops up that’s almost the same. Feels like they have endless lines or something.
