Regarding the comment below about immigration, I did a bit of searching too, and I reckon either they’ve faked it to appear like that or something similar. I've had this happen before where I called a number back and it turned out to be just some random person confused about why I called. Seems they might have used the same trick... or possibly set up a dodgy website. Either way, I answered and no one spoke, so I'm just going to block the number.

Received a rather peculiar phone call while I was out on the road today. The chap on the other end claimed he had my postcode in his records. When I pressed him for specifics about which postcode, he sort of fumbled and mumbled that he would 'pull up the information'. Quite frankly, why would you initiate a call without having your facts sorted? He then went on about needing to inspect my loft insulation. Naturally, I queried who he represented, but just as I did, the line suddenly dropped. I distinctly heard that familiar beep of a disconnection, leaving me puzzled whether he’d terminated the call or if I had simply drifted into a patch of poor signal - which isn’t out of the question given the area I was in. No follow-up from him, so I'm inclined to label this encounter as spam. My loft insulation is in tip-top shape, by the way, and fully boarded!
