0203 8808646 rang me claiming to be "Stephen James" from Lloyds Bank's fraud team. He said there were two payments of £24,000 each to SR Construction happening today from my account. Something about the call didn’t sit right with me. Having worked at Lloyds before, dealing quite a bit with fraud cases, the way he spoke was totally different from how it would be if it was a real alert.

Got a call from 0203 8808646 from someone calling himself "Stephen James" claiming to be from Lloyds Bank security. He said there were two suspicious payments of £24,000 each to SR Construction on our account today. Right from the start, it didn’t feel right - I’ve worked for Lloyds before and handled fraud cases, and the way he spoke was nothing like a real bank security team would sound.
