On the other end was an individual with an Indian accent, although their name sounded quite British, like Chris or Mike. They provided me with a link to confirm my booking and settle the payment for the tickets. However, I had already encountered a payment webpage prior to receiving their call, which seemed to be the official process for securing my booking. When I inquired about this discrepancy, they insisted that the site I was directed to initially was incorrect and that I should follow the link they were about to send me. After we hung up, I decided to research the phone number to see if it had any links to known scams, and lo and behold, it was flagged as such. I was on the brink of being conned out of £2500!
