Got a call saying they wanted to talk about issues I’d supposedly reported, but I never mentioned any problems at all.

Had a couple of calls from supposed experts wanting to chat about my water damage and mould issues - which is rubbish as I’ve got none! When I asked them to tell me which property they meant, they just dropped the line. Pretty obvious it was just some scam.

Saw this number pop up twice in like 10 minutes, did a quick search both times. Feels like one of those fresh scam numbers for sure. Picked up the phone but hung up pretty quick, no voicemail or nothing.

I've noticed that when I answer these scam calls using my limited German (picked it up at a job ages ago), the people on the other end get completely flustered. So, try switching it up with a different language instead of English - my own English isn't perfect, having studied in a Birmingham state school anyway. Just stay quiet at first and let them start the conversation; it’s quite amusing how confused they get!
