Total con artist. Pretty obvious they're just tryna rip people off.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Octopus Energy saying there was a fault with my smart meter and they wanted to send someone round. They asked for my contract end date but I told them they should already have that info. They said they needed it to update their system. I didn’t trust it so I hung up and called Octopus directly to check - turns out it wasn’t them at all.
