Got a strange email from someone called Robert J. Ross, but I don’t have any Norton Tech subscription or even know this guy. The email said I’d renewed some annual PC protection service with them on Dec 1, 2022, and that my payment of £449.19 went through, taken by an automatic debit. It went on about advanced network protection and PC care services being reactivated, with a tax charge too. The message gave a toll-free UK number +44 20 8638 6541 for cancelling or claiming a refund, signed off by Robert as Senior Manager at Consumer Care. Seems like a scam to me, so watch out if you get similar messages!

I picked up the phone and there was silence on the other end before they just ended the call.
