I had a rather peculiar phone call today. The woman on the line claimed she was calling on behalf of the National Lottery to provide me with various numbers for the Euro Lottery. She then requested my sort code and bank account details, which immediately raised my suspicions. I promptly informed her that it sounded like a scam. To my surprise, she encouraged me to check online for more information and offered to guide me through it. I asked her to shoot me an email with the details instead, and just like that, she wished me a lovely day and disconnected the call. Quite the experience, eh?
