Im off sick right now so I got loads of time to chat with these lot. Gonna see how long I can keep them talking. At least it stops them bothering other people. Managed about 10 mins earlier today with some newbie, then a supervisor and finally a manager who just hung up on me. They just won’t stop ringing me. Just got another call. The lady said she was with Phone Choice in London, but when I asked more, she confessed she was actually working out of a call centre in India. Not convinced her name was really ‘Christine’ either, like she said! I’ve tried searching for Phone Choice on Google and can’t find anything legit (Companies House has some old, closed down ones though), so this really feels like another dodgy call centre scam from India.

Got a call from someone who said his name was James, trying to sell me a deal to cut my phone bill by 30%. Bit surprised as I didn’t expect an Indian bloke to be called James. Initially he said he was with Phone Choice, then switched to saying Save or Safe Telecom. Ended up admitting he was ringing from a call centre in India, even though the number showed a UK area code. When I mentioned I’m on the TPS, he ended the call nicely.

09/08/2018. They called twice today asking for the business owner. The person had a foreign/Asian accent. First call came at 10:43am, they said something about my BT phone bill being lowered. I replied, "Thanks, I’ll wait to see that on my next bill," and then ended the call. The second call was at 5:52pm, they said they were calling our landline and even tried to tell me my number. I cut them off and said I already know it. They went quiet, so I just hung up. Doesnt seem like telling them to stop, or mentioning TPS registration, makes any difference to these calls.

Seems like I’m leaving a comment for the third time this week! This time it was an Amir, at least it’s a foreign name lol. My bill’s dropping to £12 now, after having it at £32 last week. It was the same number calling again. He asked which company I’d signed up with and I told him “Robbing B##ards Asia Ltd.” Now they’re calling every few minutes. At first, they actually picked up instead of just cutting me off. I told the lady I keep getting calls from 02038 689720. She claimed their number was 02486 554892. I let her chatter away for about 5 minutes and kept saying I’m not interested over and over. She asked why I wasn’t interested and said she could save me money. They ring like clockwork 3 or 4 times a day. Saying no just doesn't seem to put them off. 'Are you with BT?' me = no 'Do you get broadband from BT?' me = no we dont, then theres a pause, sometimes a bit of static, background noise now and then, and often the call ends before anyone actually talks. When they do, it’s always someone sounding Asian with a really short English name. They’ll hound you for a bit, then quiet down, then start all over again. I really wish they’d just give it a rest for good.
