We’ve had this number ring us on our home phone as well as on my mobile and my husband’s. The first few calls to our mobiles were concerning a speeding ticket, while the call on our landline mentioned a parking fine dating back to 2012. Each time, they inquired about our preferred method of payment, warning us that the fine would double if we didn’t settle it straightaway. We've now decided to block this number. The person on the other end claimed to be from the Court House every time they called.

Got a call from some stranger who somehow knew my name and number from social media. He said I should stay away, like he’d seen a photo of me with someone else and even recognised my voice. Told me to back off and hung up on me. I don’t know who this weirdo is, I’ve never talked to anyone like that or been in any pic with anyone. Really creepy!

Got a call earlier claiming to be from the magistrate’s court. Said I was caught doing 50 in a 30 zone and asked how I wanna pay the fine. Said if I don’t pay today, it’ll double tomorrow. Total load of rubbish. Dodgy scam for sure. Just blocked the number straight away.

I received a call claiming I had an outstanding parking ticket from 2012 and they wanted to know how I'd be settling it. Apparently, they had been adding daily interest too! I decided it was best to just end the conversation and hang up.

Hello there! Initially, they rang our landline, followed by my husband's mobile, asking, "Why do you keep dialling my number?" We decided to end the call right then and there.

Got a call from some English bloke with an automated voice about a parking ticket from 2012 for £220, asking how I wanted to pay. Not like it’s their problem i can’t park well! When I asked who was calling, they said my fine would double tomorrow and wished me a nice day before hanging up. They’ve called me maybe 30 times in three weeks and this was the first time I picked up, even tho I blocked loads of 020 numbers.

Got a call this evening from a guy with a faint Irish lilt claiming he was from my internet provider, saying my computer might have a virus. I kept asking him to name my service provider, but he kept rambling on about me looking at adult sites. After I asked about my provider for the fourth time, he just disconnected!
