He urged me to power up my computer, assuring me that he would resolve the issues. There was a noticeable foreign accent in his voice.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer had been hacked. The chap urged me to turn on my device so he could resolve the supposed issues. Didn't follow through with that, mind you. His accent definitely hinted that he wasn’t from around here.
