I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. They insisted that my computer had been compromised by a hacker and that they were from the so-called Microsoft Technical Support team. They were keen on offering me assistance remotely and suggested I download a particular app. It all reeked of a scam to me!
