I received a call from a call centre, and after a bit of a pause, the caller said, "Could I have a word with the business owner, please?" I replied negatively and offered my assistance instead. To my surprise, she flatly declined and promptly ended the call. Honestly, who in their right mind sends a cold caller straight to the “unnamed” owner of a business? It’s just ludicrous!
