Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be ‘Anna Smith’ from Microsoft tech support. She said they’re ringing everyone using Microsoft because there’s some urgent security problem with my PC (yeah right). I asked which computer she meant, and she told me it was a Microsoft computer named Dean - that’s my boyfriend’s name. I said fine, Anna from Microsoft, so what’s your advice for my computer? She just cut me off. Total scam, there’s no way Microsoft would phone every user like that, it’s ridiculous.
