She then attempted to chat civilly, but I reckon she was probably going to charge me for some dodgy service. I didn't waste any time, told her to jog on and ended the call. What a nuisance from these phone pests!

I got a call from someone wanting to chat with my boss. When I said she wasn’t in, I asked for their name but they just said no and then ended the call straight away. Bit rude if you ask me.

Got a call from some bloke called Robert Parker saying I'd supposedly signed up for a Wolfreton School advert. I told him straight up no way, and then just ended the call.

I didn’t really get to chat much with this ‘David Taylor’ guy, but it’s weird he was throwing out birthdates - makes me think he targets older folks like me who might get a bit mixed up and keep talking. This is the second time I’ve had that call in a few weeks. Same old tale, and honestly, I got hit with this exact call about four years back, so it must actually be doing the trick for them!

Had the same thing happen to me like others here. They called me a second time within a fortnight. Actually, I think they’d tried once before about four years ago. They messed up my name, calling me by my middle name instead of my last, then claimed I’d given them my birth date details as some kind of reference back in December 2017 - when apparently I agreed to something?! I straight up told the bloke it was nonsense and that there was no agreement on my end whatsoever. Ended the call and blocked the number right away.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with "BSR" and they wanted to speak to my missus (but it was actually my number). When I asked what "BSR" stood for, the person got a bit irritable and just replied with "something Support". Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call supposedly from some school aid group, but honestly, it smelt like a total scam. They kept thanking me for past help, which is rubbish because I’ve never dealt with them before. They even said I promised to help again, which is a load of nonsense. Couldn't believe how blatant it was. Honestly, I’d be annoyed if I wasted more than a minute listening to that rubbish. Number’s blocked now.

This bloke called himself David Taylor, saying it was a thank you call for some sponsorship I’d done before, and that I’d agreed to chip in again just once, for a tiny ad in some booklet. He droned on about helping disadvantaged kids, tackling child abuse, and keeping kids off the streets. I cut him off and asked if he ever gets tired of ripping people off like this. Then, the line just went dead.

They just rang me again, and straight away I told them I’m fed up with all their calls. The guy then said I was rude for cutting him off and called me “little lady” - seriously cheeky. I was pretty firm, and he didn’t seem to like it at all. He went on about how they’d printed 32 brochures and were sending me a bill. I told him I never agreed to anything, but he insisted they had my signature on file. Honestly, this whole thing should have been sorted out ages ago.

They called saying we’d backed a school safety campaign last year, it went really well apparently! Asked what name to put on the award certificate they wanted to send us. I said no name thanks, then just ended the call and blocked the number.

I just had a call from these lot, claiming they'd spoken to me back in June - which they definitely hadn’t. They said they’d post me a letter as a reminder about what it’s regarding. After reading all these comments here, I rang back to tell them not to send anything. Of course, the number is now unreachable. I wouldn’t be shocked if I end up getting a bill for something I never agreed to. With so many stories like this, I really hope someone steps in to deal with these scammers who seem to pressure people into paying up for stuff they don’t owe.

I’ve had calls from these folks multiple times, always from different phone numbers. They introduce themselves as Be Safe Promotions and say they want to send details about advertising in school booklets. A few weeks later they ring again, insisting you agreed to the adverts and now owe them money. After a while, they even try to convince you they’re from the high court enforcement! Be careful - it’s a complete con!
