5 yearsThis morning, I received a rather suspicious phone call from someone identifying himself as Anthony. He claims to be affiliated with an investigation firm looking into trading loss scams. It seems he was offering assistance to individuals who had supposedly been defrauded. He attempted to persuade me to complete a survey and requested some personal details. To be honest, I have zero knowledge of trading and have never been mixed up in any such activities. I’ve certainly not been scammed in the past. It feels like this chap is merely preying on those who have been duped before.Anthony5 yearsDodgy South African Bitcoin scheme from a firm called Interecepter. Have already handed it over to the national fraud helpline for them to check out.BitcoinInterecepterNational Fraud Helpline5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from a company investigating trading loss scams, supposedly helping people who’d been ripped off. They wanted me to share details about who scammed me and how much money I’d lost. I didn’t give them any info but asked if they were familiar with the TPS register. They said no, which to me was a red flag, seeing as I’m signed up to it. Plus, I couldn’t ring them back on the number that showed up on my phone. When they offered a direct mobile or WhatsApp contact instead, I told them it’s illegal to use numbers they don’t actually own. After that, they just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now and won’t be answering again.TPSWhatsAppSubmit Your Own Report (020 3868 4332)
