I encountered rather an impolite chap from abroad who wanted to chat with a staff member who was unfortunately out of the office. When informed about their absence, he rather curtly remarked that he would ring back and then hung up without another word. I've no clue who this person is, but if he tries calling again, I’ll certainly be blocking this number without hesitation!

You could tell it was a call centre by the lag on the line. I told her straight, "No thanks, you're just a cold caller, take me off your list or I’ll charge you for wasting my time."
