Had a few calls earlier today from someone saying they were with the British Council. Seemed like they’d done a bit of homework on our charity using the Charity Commission site. They were talking about grants but wanted more info from us. We told them to send everything over by email so we could have a proper look. A bloke called Rehan rang, then messaged us on WhatsApp from 07389819635, attaching some files. No chance we’re opening those. His English wasn’t great either, which was odd, considering the British Council is usually pretty formal.

this morning i received a few calls supposedly from the british council. they seemed to have found some info about our charity through the charity commission site and said they could offer some grants but wanted more details from us. we told them to send us the information via email so we could think about it properly. one bloke named retin rang again and then messaged us on whatsapp from 07389819635 with some attachments. there's no chance we're opening those files. the english was pretty bad too - quite strange given the usual professionalism of the british council.

This number keeps ringing me up saying my internet service will be disconnected within two days, total nuisance scammers.

This person called claiming to be from British Gas, saying they were offering a 3 month discount on our energy bills through a charity. They gave me some info I could check online to prove they were legit, but then they asked for more personal details to confirm who I was.

Today I got a call from someone who barely spoke English, claiming to be from some energy company I'd never heard of before. They kept trying to shove different deals at me, and it was pretty clear they were just after my personal details. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number. Total scam, really.

Super dodgy calls keep coming through, really pushy and won’t take no for an answer. They say they're from EDF or some sort of energy firm, but they're just trying to scam and get personal info. Feels really unsafe, honestly. Just a load of fraud, total nightmare.

Got a call from someone with a dodgy foreign accent and the line was really bad, sounded like a call centre. They were trying to get me to give info about my gas and electric bills. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

It only rang once and then stopped. I’m not sure what that’s about. Maybe it’s some kind of third party that earns money based on how many times they ring you? Bit odd if you ask me.
