Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, some guy named Ali offering a “better deal” on my phone contract. Bit dodgy cos I haven’t been anywhere near Carphone Warehouse in like 25 years. Plus, I’ve been with my current provider for over two decades! This Ali bloke said the deal would be cheaper than my current one - how on earth did he know that? Asked him to take my details off their list but he just kept pushing the sale. Ended up hanging up, felt really fishy. Blocked the number straight away.

Funny thing is, I didn’t receive any of these calls until I asked for a house valuation from 3 different estate agents and gave out my mobile number. Seems like one of them must’ve shared it, cause before that my number was just known to friends. Really curious which agency did it - could be Harts, Fortune & Coates, or William H Brown.

They said they were from Three Mobile, which is who I have my contract with. The background sounded just like a real call centre. They tried to sell me a great deal on a new iPhone. Then they asked for my sort code, account number and my full card number. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and then got put through to someone else who asked for bank info again. I just laughed and ended the call. I checked with Three afterwards, and they said it was definitely a scam. Watch out for this!

This feels like a total scam. This number has rung me about four times in the past week, each time saying they’re from Carphone Warehouse. They keep going on about a 40% discount on new contracts or whatever. When I told them I’m not eligible for an upgrade till next year and asked them to remove my details, the guy flat out refused. I've hung up and blocked the number every time, but they just keep calling from different ones. I’ve also reported it to O2.
